According to him, Christians cannot significantly transform society without influencing finance and economics. Wealth gives believers the capacity to support Kingdom projects, sponsor the gospel, transform communities and establish institutions that benefit future generations.
He clarified that God is against greed but not against believers prospering and using their resources to make a difference.
From Survival to Generational Legacy
The preacher identified four financial levels: survival, stability, prosperity and legacy.
At the survival level, everything a person earns is consumed, leaving no savings, investment or financial margin. Stability allows a person to pay bills, reduce debt and maintain emergency savings. Prosperity begins when assets exceed liabilities, investments grow and money starts working for the individual.
The highest level is legacy, where wealth benefits children, grandchildren, communities and Kingdom initiatives. Referencing Proverbs 13:22, he reminded believers that a righteous person should leave an inheritance for their children’s children.
“A salary rewards your labour; wealth rewards your wisdom. Salary feeds you; wealth frees you,” he declared.
Wealth Requires Wisdom, Discipline and Creativity
Pastor Ashimolowo taught that hard work alone is not enough to create lasting wealth. Wealth is produced through wisdom, stewardship, vision, discipline, diligence, favour, opportunity and God’s empowering grace.
He encouraged believers to increase their value, develop financial intelligence, live below their means and build assets rather than liabilities. He also advised Christians to master valuable skills, develop multiple income streams and understand investment, taxation, cash flow, equity and compound growth.
He stressed that believers must change their financial identity from that of consumers to creators, investors and owners.
