Introduction

Jehovah Sabaoth: The Lord Who Commands Heaven’s Armies
Pastor Ashimolowo explained that while God revealed Himself to different generations by different names, His name Jehovah Sabaoth becomes especially significant whenever His people face impossible situations. He described God as the supreme Commander who directs angels, nations, history and all creation according to His sovereign purpose.
According to the preacher, believers often know God as Saviour, Provider or Healer, but many have not discovered Him as the Lord of Hosts. That revelation, he said, changes everything. “Until you know Him as the Lord of Hosts, every battle looks too big to you,” he declared.
Hannah’s Prayer Introduced a Powerful Revelation
Using Hannah’s prayer in 1 Samuel 1, Pastor Ashimolowo noted that she became the first person in Scripture to address God as Jehovah Sabaoth. Her desperate circumstances drove her to discover a dimension of God that transformed her hopelessness into victory.

He challenged believers to embrace sacrificial obedience, explaining that genuine surrender often precedes extraordinary breakthroughs. Hannah’s willingness to release what she treasured most became the key to even greater blessings from God.
