LOB NEWS | FINANCIAL FREEDOM SEMINAR 2026
The Managing Director of EDC Investments Limited, Elder Paul Kofi Mante, has challenged Christians to take deliberate steps towards financial independence through disciplined spending, consistent investment, multiple income streams and long-term financial planning.
Speaking at the Men’s Ministry (MMV) Financial Freedom Seminar at ICGC The Royal Temple, Awoshie-Anyah, Accra, on Sunday, 11 October 2026, Elder Mante delivered a practical presentation titled The Roadmap to Financial Independence.
“Financial freedom does not begin with how much you earn,” he declared, stressing that increased income without financial discipline cannot guarantee prosperity.
“You can pray for increase, but if your habit cannot carry increase, the increase itself can become a burden to you.”
He encouraged participants to assess their financial health by examining their assets, liabilities and ability to survive without salaries.
Addressing workers, he warned against depending entirely on employment income.
“If your salary is your only source of income, you are a step away from poverty.”
“Having multiple streams of income is a necessity, not a luxury,” he added, recommending investments, real estate and business ownership.
Elder Mante also cautioned against extravagant lifestyles, unnecessary borrowing and spending one’s entire working life constructing oversized houses.
“Don’t waste all your life on one house,” he advised.
Introducing his ambitious Operation One Million challenge, he demonstrated how consistent investments and compound returns could help individuals accumulate substantial wealth.
“The journey to your first million is not a sprint, it’s a marathon. One step at a time.”
He concluded by encouraging Christians to create wealth not merely for personal comfort but to support their families, advance God’s Kingdom and positively influence society.
“Financial independence is possible,” he affirmed.
