Global Christian leaders gather in Accra for a morning of passionate worship, spiritual renewal and intercession for the nations.
ACCRA, GHANA — October 15, 2026. The second-day morning session of the 10th World Assemblies of God Congress unfolded with passionate worship, powerful preaching and fervent intercession at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.
Worship Sets the Atmosphere
The service opened with heartfelt worship as delegates from different nations lifted their voices in praise. Songs celebrating God’s goodness, Christ’s resurrection and His power to build the Church filled the auditorium.
“The Best Is Yet to Come”
Delivering the morning message, Juan Carlos challenged Christian leaders to pursue spiritual renewal rather than depend solely on technology, strategies and organisational improvements.
“The church, the Assemblies of God, will not improve just with technology,” he declared.
Drawing from Hebrews and Jesus’ miracle at Cana, he emphasised the need for fresh encounters with the Holy Spirit.
“The new wine is for today. Now. Right now,” he proclaimed.
He urged ministers to embrace three essential realities: conviction, transformation and reaching forward into God’s purposes.
Sharing personal testimonies of healing, he invited participants to receive spiritual renewal, leading into an extended atmosphere of prayer and worship.
Nations Lifted Before God
Following the message, leaders prayed for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit across the global fellowship.
One leader prayed, “Let the tsunami of the Spirit come right now.”
Delegates were subsequently encouraged to remain committed to the Congress’s evening revival meetings.
The morning continued with collective intercession for Asia, Latin America and Oceania, focusing on revival, healthy churches, empowered ministers and global evangelism.
Prayers particularly emphasised the MM33 vision of reaching one million Assemblies of God churches by 2033, reinforcing the Congress’s mission to take the Gospel to every nation.
