Introduction

Every Christian is called to produce, create, and influence the world through the gifts God has given them.
Rejecting the notion that poverty is synonymous with holiness, he reminded the congregation that “The blessing of the Lord… makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” Prosperity, he said, is God’s provision for fulfilling Kingdom purposes rather than an end in itself.
Created to Create Value
One of the central themes of the sermon was humanity’s identity as creators. Unlike the rest of creation, mankind was made in the image and likeness of God, the Creator.
Declaring boldly, Pastor Adefarasin said, “If He made us like Him, we are creators.”

According to him, lasting prosperity begins with renewed thinking before it becomes visible in one’s circumstances.
Develop Skills and Solve Problems
The preacher also emphasised that productivity requires excellence, diligence, and continuous skill development. Christians must become students of the needs around them rather than focusing only on their personal ambitions.

“If you want to be interesting, be interested.”
He explained that successful products, ministries, and businesses are built by understanding people’s problems and creating practical, God-inspired solutions that genuinely improve lives.
Build a Brand That Reflects Excellence
Drawing lessons from the visit of the Queen of Sheba to King Solomon, Pastor Adefarasin demonstrated that excellence attracts influence. Solomon’s wisdom, organisation, leadership, and reputation created a powerful brand that drew leaders from distant nations.
He encouraged believers to protect their integrity, pursue excellence in every area of life, and intentionally build trustworthy personal and organisational brands. A good name, he reminded the audience, remains more valuable than silver and gold.
Invest for Future Generations
Towards the end of his message, Pastor Adefarasin distinguished between wealth-producing assets and wealth-consuming liabilities. He encouraged believers to invest wisely, build appreciating assets, and think beyond immediate consumption.
Perhaps his strongest declaration came as he proclaimed:
“Money will chase you. Just create value.”
He challenged Christians to view prosperity as stewardship—using wealth to strengthen families, educate future generations, establish Kingdom institutions, support nation-building, and expand the work of God across the world.
